C. S. Lewis
Lewis names a moral order you don’t invent (the Tao) and warns that “man’s power over nature” is usually some people’s power over others through technique. Exponential tools industrialize Screwtape’s method: not always dramatic villainy — just seriousness never getting a quiet minute to start. Eschatology in this voice resists explaining the world away until there’s nothing left to see through to.
What might move: GROUNDED, Anti-Attachment, and an honest Chronicle keep body, formation, and unfinished truth visible — practice aimed at seeing through to something real.
Scientific / empirical
Documented first: framing effects, engagement design, personalization, A/B-tested delivery. Contested: how large the population harm is, and any forecast of ultimate ends. Exponential tech is already measurable in pipelines; eschatology is not a lab result. This lens keeps receipts on the table so doctrine and doom don’t outrun evidence.
What might move: Public writing and SEER Consulting that mark fact vs forecast — so people and firms aren’t catechized by hype or panic in the dark.
Moonshot / acceleration
Stress-test, not creed: push the upside hard — build faster, ship capability, treat caution as friction — until weak claims crack in daylight. Secular eschatology often lives here (abundance, singularity, exit from scarcity). Used as pressure, it keeps SEE, R from Luddite freeze and from uncritical acceleration alike.
What might move: Tools and installs that actually serve households and Southeast firms without eating the attention any worthwhile future still needs.
Reformed / evangelical
Word, grace, ordinary means. The feed is rival discipleship — attention and attachment catechize daily. Eschatology: history bends toward Christ’s return, so technology is neither savior nor side note; it’s a field where faithfulness or worldliness shows up in habits.
What might move: GROUNDED and Anti-Attachment as local rehearsals — reclaim attention, refuse synthetic friendship, form souls for a kingdom models don’t build.
Local Kennesaw stream
Place and people before abstraction. Exponential tech lands in real homes, kids, churches, and firms — Kennesaw and the Southeast first. Eschatology stays neighbor-shaped: who you’ll answer for on the ground, not a global abstraction arguing with itself.
What might move: One lockbox hour, one honest framework, one human engagement that works here — so souls and households aren’t abandoned to the feed.
